Spawish.com, headquartered in Cherry Hill, NJ, offers gift certificates for participating spas all across the country.

Challenge

Spawish.com needed a way to determine if their customers entered the website by way of their affiliates.

Solution

To help them determine this, WWWC created "landing pages" for each of their affiliates. These are special pages that are not linked within the main website but are given out or used in ads as entry pages for affiliates. Each affiliate links to its "landing page" by using a special affiliate code. When the customer enters here, the code, date and time are logged to a database.

Benefits

Spawish.com administrators can then download the database through an online administration utility and see which affiliates send the most customers to them. In addition, if a customer purchases a gift certificate, this code is saved with the order. This allows Spawish.com to evaluate the entry-to-sale ratio. The system also enables them to make informed decisions about how they allocate their valuable advertising dollars.
